Hello. I'm going to discuss the "cursed energy" situation; what issues exist and what can be done.

We all know about the bot issue. If only bots could be permanently removed from the game Jagex responded to the bot problem by allowing a person with cursed energy to be attackable by anyone, regardless of the wilderness degree restrictions. This certain hit the bots hard... but in what cost?

With 138s dominating the wilderness volcano, low level pkers have remaining and low degree skillers have left (there is no point within opposing maxed mains when you cannot defeat them). These legitimate low level gamers have been forced from content that they were enjoying. With cursed energy being so risky to collect, becoming so difficult in order to bank, requiring numerous inventory spaces to be efficient at gathering and allowing any player to assault; it discourages any player to participate in the content, especially low levelled players. This could only result in fight level diversity becoming completely destroyed and also the content in general becoming left fairly... dead.

It looks like a person either have to allow bots to function, or punish legitimate gamers who were enjoying the information. What if there was a choice that was fair and kept the players pleased whilst also smashing the bots in the process?

My solution: "Cursed energy pickpocketing! "

Create a pickpocket choice (within the backwoods Buy RS 3 Gold volcano only) wherever any player may pickpocket any other player for their cursed power.

Implementation:

A (red? ) loading pub will appear above the thief's head and a successful pickpocket will take place once the pub is full. In order to interrupt this, the gamer being pickpocketed should select the pickpocket choice on the thief in order to interrupt the pickpocket. You may only attempt to pickpocket a choose individual once every 5 minutes (to avoid spamming/grieving them), but you can pickpocket as many separate individuals because you'd like to (no limit).

A pickpocket will invariably take a full duration of 8 secs (enough time to become countered with an interrupt) in order for the pub to complete and for a successful pickpocket to take place. The actual thief will follow the gamer being pickpocketed with a thieving animation throughout the duration. Upon thieving success, some thieving xp based on your own thieving level is going to be awarded and you will take ALL of the player's cursed energy (provided these people didn't interrupt you).

Bots or gamers that are afk are affected here, legit active players will simply need to interrupt the pickpocket and then continue regarding their business. This way, any player will help the bot smashing process, even becoming out of the combat degree range and unable to attack. You'll continually be able to attempt to obtain cursed energy away another player by pickpocketing. With this method, low level pvp and skilling will never get harmed and can continue to thrive.

Cursed energy pickpocketing continued:

Anyone can steal from a bot, a good afk player, or a player who decides not to interrupt. Low level players who are not a bot, neither afk will need to become killed in order to obtain their cursed power - this promotes combat level variety and pvp in the wilderness. Hopefully this particular thieving "loading bar" can be made undetected by botting software program (I don't individually know how it works). The only way to know that you will be being pickpocketed is to see the pickpocket launching bar and disrupt it (the launching bar should also possess a name above or next to it in case you have multiple people piled on the same square - not knowing who is performing it pickpocketing).

Perhaps spike and escape might be another way to "interrupt". They are able to only be used as soon as every 20 secs, so even if the bot was programmed to escape or spike constantly, a smart player would realise after such an action, a large window of thieving opportunity follows.

If the player has no cursed energy, none is going to be awarded upon pickpocket and a message is going to be displayed: "That player has no cursed power! " Interrupting the pickpocket has a totally success chance and (possibly) awards a few thieving experience. Thieving level has no relevance apart from the amount of xp given.
